August Creek Farm is located on two acres of a homestead that has been in our family for over 30 years. Here at August Creek, we use organic farming methods in order to bring our customers and farm members the highest quality of produce.
Meet Your Farmer
Andrea earned her Bachelor's in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois in 2009. Her background includes internships in invasive plant control and environmental education. Andrea spent time as a Horticulture Technician at Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens in Florida before moving back to Illinois to start her own farm. Andrea interned one season with RidgeView Farm in Westervelt, IL to learn the in's and out's of farming with a CSA program.
Andrea's passion for farming began when she was a young girl, riding along with her dad and grandpa in the combine at harvest. She believes in her CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture program: bringing fresh, healthy and local food to her customers, while also allowing them to experience the joy of eating seasonally.
